Trail shoes for narrow feet?

SafetyThird

Section Hiker
I'm considering getting a pair of trail shoes to try out instead of boots.

However, I have never had comfortable boots for hiking as I have narrow, low volume, feet and narrow ankles. Every pair of boots I've ever owned, quite a few over the years, have given me blisters to varying degrees. Even the Albergs fitted by their master boot fitter didn't solve the problem.

So, which brands should I be looking to try on that aren't designed for hobbits ;)

Some Adidas Terrex are narrow, I’ve got a pair of the boots that are wide and had the shoe version of the same model and found it very narrow.

I found icebug to be narrow . You need to break the heel in steadily. I watched a video of a bloke who poured a cup of water in the heel cup...tipped it out then wore them for an hour...this worked for me.
They are very light .

What Mole said.
I have to choose carefully what footwear to wear if doing a lot of miles or downhill as they can start to rub and hurt my toes and I went a size up too ...
