Hi team,

I’m after one or two UL bivvy bags with big nets over the head, like the Borah Gear, MLD, Katabatic etc.

Cheers!

Could be interesting! Could you send me pics? (as an addition to the main ad though, as I do need something water resistant too)

Ive an mld soul long wide. Never used. My ee recon is bigger so its surplus to requirements. Comes with the sealant mld provided. It was unfolded on the lounge floor to test fit and thats it. I didnt pay import taxes and it came to 220 delivered

It's a lot of money but it's a hell of a lot of quality. I've one and it's the best bivi I've ever had.... and I have had a few.

Is it just a splash/wind bivi your after? The Soul bivi is a full on do it all bivi.

Yeah, bug/splash, as can put a tarp over me if it starts raining!

Great choice! Espesh if you are the lucky owner of a KG quilt. Hope you bought a wide...always buy a wide KG even if you are a single digit body fat km eating hiking machine. Really like the double sided opening and non sil floor. Bivs are basically a nightmare to live in, but being able to open them up both sides like opening a sardine tin is logical / common sense as it should be. When you are outdoors, lugging around your balance of compromises on yer back, simplicity and ease of use trumps the Grammage Damage big time. Tempted by a Pinon but prefer more outdoorsy colours.

Cheers dude! Yeah I did actually go wide in the end - phew for that one! May get a quilt in the future, but I’ve bankrupt my play funds for now, so that’ll have to wait at least a few months haha!

Will be paring it with a Gatewood Cape i reckon. For nice weather trips on well trodden paths (ie not too much gorse or bushwhacking to rip it!) I think (/hope) it’ll be an epic combo.
