Obviously this for someone who's comfortable with minimalist footwear. I like the high sock to act as a gaiter and good drainage, which would make this good for fair weather hiking, obviously not for cold, wet slogs for days.

Right up your alley colourwise? @Chiseller

Fair weather hiking...really, in a plastic water boot..?

...but, 'aquatic organisms' are so inspiring, aren't they?

I like them, but wouldn't go near them at that money.
I'm loving my trek ascent and would happily buy there high cuff version.
These sound great for doing what they're supposed to do.

If you end up ordering anything from Vivo, PM me and I'll send you a 20% discount code (I have couple of them, but they are single use only).

Appreciated, thanks.. Still on the job search trail...
Recently bought some 8mm drop trail shoes... Not sure how I'll get on with them, but I've flitted back and forth on a daily basis between zero and dropped trainers.

I'm ok with a bit of drop, but not with stiff ankle boots. Last time I wore a pair and went walking in a pair, I was out of commission for better part of a week because my calves were in agony because feet weren't able to do the work due to stiff, supported boots.

My 8mm are mountain specific trail runners, I'm trying them for power walking and they favour the required heel to toe as opposed to mid /toe toe/mid of minimalist.
