lol, yeah I thought the same. When reading the title I didn't really realize what it was about until I saw the view/reply count then thought it's probably the obligatory "What you bought now?" thread. :D

Geigerrig 2l pressurized bladder from Ebay. I was so impressed with Pauls 3l at the weekend I had to order one.

They do look quite decent from what I have read/seen in vids :)

I was looking at them again myself last night, still not sure they're for me as I prefer a bottle than a bladder, that would just make it an expensive water holder for camp.

Clever though and the flow rate looked good for those times when you don;t have the lung power to suck

Same here as I don't like carrying lots of water when walking and prefer to just fill Travel Tap when needed and save bigger collection for base camp.

However I do like look of these pressurized bladders and considering grabbing one for when biking :)

They rock mate. Biting o the valve and feeling your mouth fill with water is awsome. only downside ive noticed is they slosh a bit under pressure which can be annoying but easily solved by pulling the pump off when not in use. Only takes a sec to shove it back on and give it a few pumps

Thinking the 2l Geigerrig won't slosh as much as the 3l. I've tried losing the bladder but I really miss the easy hydration on the move. Found that I'm just not drinking enough using bottles.

It'll be nice to fill the cookpot up with treated water, quickly and straight from the tube, without having to hang the bladder off a pole or tree to get a decent flow-rate.

I'm a bit stuck in my ways with using bladders over 25 years. Started using Camelbak's in the early 90s, bloody things would split if you looked at them wrong and the tubes would mould up in a week. The new breed are light years ahead of those.

The other thing i think would be useful it crafting something to squeeze the valve instead of having to pinch it with your fingers. A little dyneema with a sliding constrictor knot might do the trick. Would be hands free then or if you want gucci, the bite valve will need a quick release unit fitting. The geigers are fully compatible with all camelbak fittings apparently

Playtime I think when it turns up. Wondering if the source bite valve will work with the extra pressure? Best valve I've used.
