Mate, it's not rated for radiation filtering
Very nice!
I wouldn't be so hasty yet....Where did you buy it from mate? I noticed the price shot up on Amazon after @The Cumbrian ’s heads up.
I’ve seen the flow rate on vid and in the flesh. Mr @Chiseller is right with the comment “is it actually doing anything?”
I can totally understand the concept of the Sawyer micro. A chopped down squeeze with less longevity.
Very nice!
I had the 2 person Revolution at 1.5 kgs (you probably know the the Chinook is the beefed up Revolution) mesh inner-virtually identical to yours without the side poles. Sold it because it was too big a proper 2 person as you said-but a brilliant tent. I now have the Revolution 1 person with the winter inner (like yours)-brilliant also!
I have been looking at the Chinook 1.5 -did you see one up close by any chance? Love my one person but the ability to move the floor in the 1.5 Chinook has me fascinated at a very good weight. Is there a reason you went for the 2 person? Two people for example-or just extra space?
I think I may get one eventually and will be very keen to hear how it goes for you in the wind. Please update!
Big Sky makes top stuff.
I wouldn't be so hasty yet....
Mines gone into slow mode.... 4th trip with it and I'm not impressed.
Backflush hasn't helped... No visible clogging in the viewing window... No explanation. It was slow before I left on this trek, I've back flushed it again last night.
It's had about 30L use so far, non of it overly clouded water.....
I'll give it the recommended vinegar clean when I get home.

Huge but still a reasonable footprint. Like a palace in there isn't it? Are you hoping it will have the same wind worthiness as the Soulo you mentioned?I bought it mainly as a palatial one person tent, but with the option to hold two. I've had enough of long winter nights being holed up in a nylon coffin. I also wanted a freestanding tent that I can use to camp on beaches so that I don't have to carry sand pegs or rely on rocks to hold standard pegs in.

Sounds good. The lower bottom edge fly height will help for certain. Very interested to hear some wind use.The pole diameter is the same, and I prefer their arrangement on the Chinook to the Soulo, so I expect it to stand up to strong winds. As to whether it is as strong as a Soulo, I don't know. There are so many variables, and if strong winds are forecast I won't be camping on a ridge. Saying that though, I've been out in strong winds and camped in exposed places in tents that aren't as strong as the Chinook and I've been alright. I just always made sure that the tent was very well pegged down. I've never been one to skimp on pegs, and twice in the past my tent has been the only one standing in the morning after a storm. On a third occasion there was my tent and an ancient Vango Force 10 left standing.
I recently bought a Stormin' Solo system, great piece of kit. Do you have the silicone band in the right place? After 4-5 yrs heavy use it’s time to retire my Flatcat snow Leopard stove set up,welcome one of Stormins stove systems, a touch lighter and a bit simpler to set up.

Zpacks Triplex. It's a palace. It turns out that being mis-sold PPI was an investment.

Nice stove - the more stable 'remote canister' arrangement certainly makes sense for a dog with its owner jumping around.
$20 doesn't clear customs in the UK!Ebay "faux-dini". Very good first impressions. Unfortunately they declared value at $20 when it really cost $15 and I had to pay £11 of customs+handling...
