Working on my lightweight gear

Hello folks...

Not posted in a while but I've been working a bit on my kit list. A couple of mountain camps over the summer have got me a little clearer on where my comfort limits are so thought I'd put up my revised list for winter.

Any C&C welcome.
Owdo Kit? Good to see you post....
How's the only wearing one boot? Working out for you and are you just carrying 1l of water at a time between fills (1000g)?
3 caps and a hood?
No phone or camera?
Food seems light? Have you enough for 2.5 days winter wise.?
Midge net needed? I know they like appearing from nowhere the minute a tarp is up and it's mild for the month but I reckon there done with.
I always seem to have mine though, good for collecting mushrooms an helps deter the slugs on some camps lol.
I should try that lighter pack site so I can look closer at my own kit.
Cheers buddy ✌️

Hiya Chis :D
Yeah forgot to add in my phone... Updated now. Hehe yeah I find hopping takes the 'leave only footprints' thing to the next level. Think that's the weight for the pair, I did most of my weighing a while back so I'll have to double check.
Hats wise, my mammut cap is for hiking and the beanie and buff for camp but could probably loose the hood unless its really cold.
My food comes to about 3.3 kg with my snacks added in. Although that's just a weight from a previous trip so I'll have to weigh it again for a true figure.Got my water as 2x 1000g tend to be about right for me with a total capacity of 4.6l if needed.

It's a good site helped me out a lot paring my gear down. Although I'd like to get my total to about 12kg. Not gonna happen I until I spring for a down bag though I think.

Kit list; I'm taking more but its weighing less...worried now...what is not in the bag...maybe the scales are wrong...no! the scales don't lie, they claim I lost weight, a fair bit of weight...

Nightrider; I used to detest that series ( no offence to any Kits), a talking satnav is bad enough.

Losing weight makes a big difference :)
Just weighed the bag, 11kg with food for 2 days but no water, also got my waterproofs and gaiters in the bag, so not too bad I suppose. Opted to take a bigger inner tent, and a bivi bag as my sleeping bag is an older model. So almost 500g extra weight there, but fewer clothes than last time (but more chocolate).

I feel like Ive got a cold coming on...typical...eating home made soup for breakfast to counter that.

Off soonski...4 hours on the train...with other people...arg ;)

Love reading kit lists to see what gear folk but more impressed there's two folk named Kit on here :) Me being the other one :) We seem to be few and far between :)

Bit of nomanitive determinism at work perhaps? At least that's my excuse for being a gear junkie...
