I'm needing half a dozen long stakes & like others have found they're a rare beast outside of the US & shipping + VAT + RM fee make buying 6 really expensive. I found the 20cm Bigsky tube stakes, I was a bit sceptical about them not heard of them before but they get a good Review from Sectionhiker & seem fairly commonly used across the pond. The Bigsky's are slightly lighter than the Eastons & 2cm shorter than the golds but the way the heads/ cord loop is attached means that the heads are much less likely to be pulled off, a feature I like having had 2 Eastons come off. I looked at the purchase of 48 from the US (cost below 12% duty threshold), the cost for 6 would be ~£20 including delivery within the UK. Anyone interested??
